Day 1
Day 1
Arrival at Siliguri | Welcome to Land of the Thunder Dragon
Reach Bagdogra International Airport/ New Jalpaiguri Railway Station in the morning.
From here a representative will help you get transferred to Phuentsholing.
On reachingPhuentsholing, you’ll head directly to the pre-booked hotel where you can check-in and relax for some time.
In the evening you’ll be free to explore the quaint little town and its natural wonders at your own leisure.
Later, return to your hotel and have a delicious dinner.
Overnight stay at the hotel in Phuentsholing.
Day 2
Phuentsholing to Thimphu | Travel to the Heart of Bhutan
Start off your day with a wonderful breakfast.
After all permits/ visa clearance, you’ll drive toThimphu.
On reaching Thimphu, check in to the hotel and take some rest.
The rest of the day is at your leisure and you’ll be free to explore the beautifulLocal Marketsof Thimphu.
You’ll then return back to your hotel.
Dinner and overnight in Hotel in Thimphu.
Day 3
Thimphu Sightseeing | Explore the Capital & its Rich Culture
The day begins with a delicious breakfast after which you’ll head out for an amazing sightseeing tour ofThimphu.
You’ll proceed to visit theNational Memorial Chortenthat was built in the honour of late King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck.
Also visit the largestBuddha Statuethat overlooks the beautiful Thimphu Valley and theMotithang Takin Preserve, the humble abode of Takin, the national animal of Bhutan.
Other highlights include a visit to theTashichho Dzong, the seat of the national government and the Central Monastic Body, including the summer residence of the Je Khenpo (Chief Abbot of Bhutan).
Later drive toSimtokha Dzong, the oldest Dzong of Bhutan built by Zhabdrung in 1627 and finally visit theHandicrafts Emporiumfollowed by shopping for souvenirs at the local markets in Thimphu.

Day 4
Thimphu to Punakha | The Juncture of the two Beautiful Rivers
Start your day with a healthy breakfast and embark on a drive toPunakhavia Dochula Pass.
If the weather is clear, we stop for a while atDochula Passto view Higher Himalayas.
On the way, visitChimi Lhakhang, also known as “the Temple of Fertility”, and built by Lama Drukpa Kuenley who subdued the demons with his “Magical Thunderbolt”.
VisitPunakha Dzongsituated between Pho Chu (Male River) and Mo Chu (Female River) which for many years until the time of the second king, served as the seat of the Government.
Punakha is still the winter residence of Je-Khenpo and King Jigme Dorji Wangchuk convened the new national Assembly here in 1952.

Day 5
Punakha to Paro | A Day at Leisure to Experience the Essence of Bhutan
Start your day with a wholesome breakfast and then proceed to check out from the hotel.
You can then explore Punakha a bit more before departing toParo.
On reaching Paro check in to the hotel and take some rest.
You’ll then drive to the ruins of theDrukgyel Dzong16 km up the Valley.
Built in 1647 by the great Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, father and unifier of medieval Bhutan, the dzong was destroyed by accidental fire and left in ruins as an evocative reminder of the great victories it was built to commemorate.
Spend some time to explore the ramparts and on a clear day, experience an unforgettable view of Mt. Jhomolhari (7,314 m).
On the way back, visitKichu Lhakhang, built in 659 A.D by the Tibetan king Songtsen Gampo.

Day 6
Excursion to Taktsang | A Beautiful Hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest)
Start your day with a healthy breakfast and then head out for an excursion toTaktsang Monastery.
You’ll drive to Satsam Chorten, from where a 2 hour horse ride will help you reach the viewpoint point of the monastery.
The trail climbs through beautiful pine forest and an occasional grove of fluttering prayer flags to reach Taktsang.
The monastery was built around Guru Rinpoche's meditation cave & clings to the edge of a rock cliff that plunges 900 meters into the valley below.
You can then visitTa Dzong, an ancient watchtower, which now houses the National Museum below which is the Paro Rinpung Dzong (literally meaning “Heap of Jewels”).
Proceed for a short walk to the base of the dzong and across a traditional cantilevered, covered bridge.
In the evening, return back to the hotel

Day 7
Paro to Bagdogra via Phuentsholing | Wave Goodbye to the Land of Thunder Dragon
Bagdogra International Airport
After breakfast check out from the hotel in Paro and depart for Phuentsholing.
From Phuentsholing you’ll continue towards Bagdogra.
You’ll be dropped off at Bagdogra Airport/ New Jalpaiguri Railway Station for your onward journey.
This marks the end of your trip with wonderful memories.
